Welsh Assembly Government office opens doors to the public The Open Day, which will be on Saturday 25 September, will give visitors a chance to have a tour of the new building, meet staff working there, learn more about the Welsh Assembly Government and take part in activities. The day will also mark the official opening of Y Bont, the unique public access area in the office. Along with its counterpart in Aberystwyth, it is the first of its kind throughout central Government in the UK. Rubbish, Oswald. It should have been much bigger with a clock tower - "Big Bob" - and guarded by Welsh soldiers in ceremonial uniforms.
