A PLAN to ballot drivers at a Gwent bus company on industrial action is on hold after their union offered to go back to the negotiating table
Newport Transport said in August that its offer of a two per cent award demonstrated its commitment to staff
In the current economic circumstances a 2% offer is a good one particularly when Newport Transport barely make a profit. Any srike would very likely cost jobs as there would be plenty of other companies steping into to provide services
