Arriva Wales train drivers who are already on £34K a year and have been offered a 12% 2 year pay deal are still not happy and want to strike as the new deal requires them to work Sundays if rostered.
Just how greedy can they get. Driving a train is not a highly skilled job , yes it requires some skill but most people would be capable of being a train driver with about 3 to 6 months training
There are plenty of highly qualified and skilled people earning less
I would say in Wales in the region of £30K to £33K would be a fair wage for a train drive with Mainline HS drivers going upto about £35K
